My sister and I at Christmas

Christmas Eve 2006 (5)

Here's a picture of me and Samantha.

So tomorrow is Christmas Eve! I'm very excited. We will be going to my grandma and grandpa's for the day.

I finished up my last semester of exams and classes. Now all I have left is student teaching. Then graduation. Crazy. I don't know how much I am enjoying growing up.

My last Christmas Conference is only a few days away.  I can't wait. It is by far my favorite thing of the entire year. :) Annnnndddd I get to see project friends from other schools. Yay!

Whoa long time. So since last update...

School has been going. This is my last semester of classes. So as of right now I have 4 exams until I am finished with exams completely. So weird.

I found out my student teaching placements for next semester. I will be student teaching in the mornings at the lab school on campus in a 3 to 5 year old room. In the afternoons I will be teaching in an inclusive special education room with 3 and 4 year olds that have autism, developmental delays, and behavioral disorders. That should prove to be quite interesting.

Morgan, from project, came and visited one weekend. And just this past weekend Karen came to visit. Karen came all the way from South Carolina. PS her boyfriend is one of my best friends, so I'm not surprised she found a way to come up here.

I officially did hit the 40 lb mark. And actually 41 now. It's a great feeling. I feel healthy.

One of the biggest things in my life right now is working on what I will be doing after graduation. A week ago, I turned in my application to do a one year internship with Crusade. This is not surprising. It has been the plan for almost 3 years. The big thing was deciding if I wanted to intern on staff at Purdue, or do an internship STINT in Turkey for a year. Well, it was one application and you preference what you want. SOOOOOOO..... my first choice is STINT in Turkey, then intern at Purdue, then STINT in Rome. Any of those would be pretty sweet, but scary at the same time. I have to raise $25,000- $30,000 to do this. BUT I could be living in another country for a year!!!!

My church has already told me that they want to support me with $5000 for next year. How amazing. The Lord is already provideing support before I start raising it! What confirmation that doing an internship with Crusade is what I should be doing!

Today is Thanksgiving. I am excited about all of the food. We are having 3 turkeys. yum!

So I went home over fall break. I brought home like 10-15 shirts that just don't fit anymore cause I've lost weight. PS... I've almost hit the 40 lb mark. :) So it sucks that I have no clothes, even though it is for a good reason. I got to go shopping though. I replaced 10-15 shirts with 4 shirts, a pair of jeans, 2 pairs of shoes and new winter coat. So that was exciting, but I'm still on the prowl for some cheap shirts and a pair of black pants.

My mom had foot surgery. Apparently she either has rheumatoid arthritis, lupus or another autoimmune disease. A little scary if you ask me. I hope we find out soon.

Fall break is this weekend. I am quite excited to have a break from school. Most of my plans did not work out how I hoped though. But it is okay. I am going home to spend time with the fam. Autumn and Amy may come for Monday and Tuesday, but I am not sure yet. We will see I guess.

Today is my mom's birthday. She says she is 24. That is quite interesting seeing that my parents 24th anniversary was yesterday, meaning she was not even born the day she got married. And also I am 22. Meaning my mom was 1 and 1/2 years old when she had me. I think she may be lying about her age. It is okay. She looks young. People have a hard time believing that she has a 22 year old most of the time. :)
